Cover art and identity design for the Istanbul based Mauna Kea band’s debut album “Scales” and its promotional materials. Referred as one of the best alternative music releases of 2012-2013, Mauna Kea's sound is a hybrid between progressive rock & electronic music. Just like the sound also the art of Mauna Kea is designed with a multidisciplinary hybrid approach, combining traditional design with 3D and digital painting techniques.

The album single "Gaia" and also the cover booklet feature a famous speech & text from the astrophysicist Carl Sagan, taken from the original "Cosmos" series with a special permission from the Carl Sagan Foundation. Listen on Apple Music.
